This SMS & Messaging Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how 7Tel LLC ("7Tel," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information you provide when you opt in to receive text messages from us. This Policy applies specifically to our Application-to-Person (A2P) SMS and MMS messaging programs.

1. Who We Are

7Tel LLC is a licensed Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) provider operating at 7tel.us. We provide business phone, messaging, and communication solutions to small and medium-sized businesses.

2. Types of Messages We Send

By voluntarily providing your phone number and explicitly opting in to text messages, you may receive the following types of text messages from 7Tel: 

• Welcome Messages — Confirmation and onboarding messages when you sign up for services or subscribe to our communications.
• Service Notifications — Updates regarding your account status, provisioning, service changes, or maintenance windows.
• Product Updates — Announcements about new features, service offerings, or improvements to the 7Tel platform.
• Website & Resource Links — Links to relevant pages on 7tel.us, support documentation, or other informational resources.
• Support Follow-Ups — Messages related to open support requests or customer service interactions.

Message frequency varies based on your account activity and preferences. You may receive up to 6 messages per month. Standard message and data rates may apply.

3. How We Collect Your Consent

We only send text messages to individuals who have expressly opted in. Consent may be collected through:

• A web form on 7tel.us where you check a box agreeing to receive SMS communications.
• A written agreement or service contract that includes SMS consent language.
• A keyword opt-in sent to a designated number (e.g., texting a keyword to our number).
• Your consent to receive marketing or promotional messages is not required to purchase or use 7Tel services.

4. Information We Collect

In connection with our messaging program, we may collect:

• Your mobile phone number
• Your name and business contact information (if provided)
• Message delivery and engagement data (e.g., delivery status)
• Opt-in and opt-out timestamps and method

5. How We Use Your Information

Information collected through our messaging program is used solely to:

• Deliver the messages you have consented to receive.
• Manage your messaging preferences and opt-out requests.
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and carrier requirements (including CTIA guidelines and 10DLC compliance).
• Improve the quality and relevance of our communications.

6. No Sharing of Phone Numbers or Messaging Content

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. 

7. How to Opt Out

• You can opt out of 7Tel text messages at any time.
• Reply STOP to any 7Tel text message to unsubscribe immediately.
• You may also reply HELP at any time to receive support information.
• Alternatively, contact us directly at support@7tel.us to request removal.
• After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. No further marketing messages will be sent. Note that opting out of marketing messages does not affect transactional or service-related messages associated with an active service agreement.

8. HELP Response

If you reply HELP to any of our messages, you will receive a response containing:

• Program name and description
• Instructions to opt out (STOP)
• Our support contact information
• A reference to this Policy at 7tel.us.

9. Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. 7Tel is not responsible for charges assessed by your carrier for sending or receiving text messages.

10. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information collected through our messaging program. However, no method of electronic transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Retention

We retain messaging consent records and opt-out records for a minimum of four (4) years to comply with applicable regulations and carrier requirements. Phone numbers of opted-out individuals are retained on our suppression list to ensure they are not re-messaged without new express consent.

12. Compliance

7Tel's messaging practices comply with:

• The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA)
• CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices
• 10DLC registration requirements administered by The Campaign Registry (TCR)
• Applicable carrier guidelines and acceptable use policies

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or regulatory requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
